COMMENTS <br />• Mrs. Whitaker explained that Olson has preliminarily proposed over ~ QO <br />units as compared to the previous 16 units. Substantial upgrades and <br />elevations are proposed. The Commissioners will be updated when the <br />Olson plans are submitted. Commissioner Sarmiento asked that staff keep <br />the Commission updated on Planning Commission public input dates. <br />Mrs. Whitaker will coordinate with Planning Manager Karen Haluza on <br />notification of Planning Commission dates. <br />Lisa <br />• Reiterated that the Public Discovery Workshops will be held on April 18 <br />and April 20. <br />• Recommended that only three of the Commission members attend the <br />public meetings because of the Brown Act. <br />7• COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Vice-Chair erson Stroud <br />• Inquired about the voting status of the Sr. Tenant and Tenant positions. <br />Mrs. Whitaker answered that they will vote only on Housing Authority items <br />requiring action. Staff will be scheduling a meeting with the applicants. <br />• Requested meeting information for the Logan revitalizing meetings to be <br />held by Planning. <br />• Inquired about the Lincoln/Vllashington area by the railroad tracks where <br />homes have been raisedlmoved, Mrs. Whitaker will provide an update at <br />the next meeting. <br />• Asked if the Santora Building had been sold. Mrs. Whitaker replied that it <br />had nat. <br />• Announced that the Police Department Employee Recognition Program is <br />scheduled for April ~2. <br />Commissioner Macres <br />• Thanked staff and Mr. Cottle for the report on the Ross-Durant project. <br />Commissioner Sarmiento <br />• Thanked staff and Barry Cottle from Orange Housing Development <br />Corporation for the report on the Ross-Durant project. Commended Mr. <br />Cottle and expressed his appreciation for his partnership. <br />• Mentioned that he attended the meeting at the Remington School <br />regarding the Metro East Project. He was disappointed with the small <br />attendance and suggested better outreach for future meetings. He is also <br />concerned about the traffic impact in the area.
