• Over 20 additional outreach workshops, approximately 30 project <br />update meetings, and over ten study sessions, ~ <br />• Over 45,000 utility bill inserts and 3,000 mailers to property owners, <br />businesses and neighborhood representatives; and <br />• Multiple press releases and interviews. <br />• Outreach will continue in the forms of workshops, study sessions, and <br />community meetings. <br />• The Environmental Impact Report will be released in January 2008 <br />• Public Hearings: Planning Commission in the first quarter of 2008 and City <br />Council in the second quarter of 2008. <br />A discussion ensued. Mrs, Haluza addressed questions from the <br />Commissioners and mentioned that a Housing Element presentation to this <br />Commission is scheduled in the near future. <br />Public speakers included: Jackie Deter, Linda Tang, Ezequiel Gutierrez, Mike <br />Tardif, and David Levy, They shared their various concerns on the location of <br />the second monthly Council meeting, zoning and property values, affordable <br />housing, the rail station, trolleys and disturbance to neighborhoods, eminent <br />domain, non-conforming uses, and the correlation between the Renaissance <br />Specific Plan and the Housing Element. <br />BUSINESS CALENDAR <br />Item taken out of order. <br />5, LOAN AGREEMENTS WITH TOWNSEND & RAITT, LLC AND <br />AUTHORIZATION OF RELOCATION PLANS -Shelly Landry-Gayle <br />Mrs. Landry-Gayle provided a PowerPoint presentation and handout on the <br />Townsend and Raitt Acquisition and Rehabilitation. The presentation included <br />the following information: <br />• Inter-Agency Task Force recently created by the Santa Ana Police <br />Department to address public safety and quality of fife issues; <br />• Demographics and housing issues; <br />• Project Description and pictures of the locations; <br />• Proposed Ownership Struc#ure; <br />• Affordability Level and Unit Sizes; <br />• Terms and Funding; <br />• Project Budget - Funding Sources: Community Redevelopment <br />Agency (Housing Set-Aside) TI, City of Santa Ana (HOME), and WAMU <br />Conventional Loan; and <br />• Project Budget -- Funding Uses: Acquisition and Construction and <br />related costs. <br />CRHC MINUTES 4 November 20, 2007 <br />
