v I <br /> 4 -94/- 0 30 11 <br /> rC 7° <br /> AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING r <br /> ARTICLE XIV, SECTION 6 <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND THE <br /> SANTA ANA POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION FOR <br /> FISCAL YEARS 1993-95 <br /> The Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Santa Ana and <br /> the. Santa Ana Police Officers Association for Fiscal Years 1993-95, <br /> executed on October 19 , 1993 and amended on January 18 , 1994 , is <br /> hereby further amended to add subsections A, B, C, D to Article <br /> XIV, Section 6 as follows : <br /> 1 . Section 6 . Upon return to duty from such full-time release, <br /> the Association' s representative shall be restored to the same <br /> position without loss of any benefits as he or she would have <br /> occupied or accrued if there had been no disruption in duty status . <br /> A. The Association agrees that since the Association <br /> Representative does not report for duty or account to the City for <br /> his or her sick leave or vacation time, that vacation and sick <br /> leave accruals shall be treated as follows : <br /> B . The Association Representative shall accrue eight (8) <br /> hours of sick leave each month until the accrued sick leave total <br /> reaches a maximum of 1600 hours . <br /> C . Vacation shall be accrued consistent with existing POA <br /> MOU provisions . The Association Representative may not carry over <br /> from one calendar year to the next more than the equivalent of one <br /> longevity vacation period and the equivalent of one regular <br /> vacation period from the previous two (2) years . Regular vacation <br /> in excess of that accrued during the previous two year period will <br /> be forfeited. <br /> D. POA President may not donate his/her accrued vacation or <br /> holiday time . <br /> 2 . Except as amended by this agreement, all other provisions of <br /> the P.O.A. MOU will remain in full force and effect . <br /> 3 . This amendment will be effective from and after February 1, <br /> 1994 . <br />
