KLG:ar <br /> 10/15/78 <br /> In all other respects, the terms and conditions of Part II <br /> of the Memorandum of Understanding dated July 19, 1976, relating <br /> to health insurance shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> II. REIMBURSEMENT OF EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT CONTRIBUTIONS <br /> Effective July 1, 1978, the City shall reimburse <br /> all affected employees for retirement contributions paid <br /> by them or owing to the Public Employees' Retirement System <br /> of the State of California (PERS) in an amount equal to 5% <br /> times the "compensation" upon which such retirement contributions <br /> are calculated, for all time worked or deemed to have been <br /> worked by the employee during the term of this Memorandum of <br /> Understanding. Thus, the City will reimburse each "safety" <br /> employee for 5/9th of his/her individual employee contribution <br /> to PERS and each "non-safety" employee for 5/7th of his/her <br /> individual employee contribution to PERS for all time the em- <br /> ployee has worked or is deemed to have worked, during the term <br /> of this Memorandum of Understanding. Such reimbursement shall <br /> be accomplished through four . -1.iinstallment payments as /� C <br /> ey <br /> follows: (1) on November 9 , 1979, following execution of this <br /> Memorandum of Understanding, each qualifying, affected employee <br /> shall receive reimbursement for the months of July, August, <br /> September and October, 1978; (2) on January 9 , 1979 , each <br /> qualifying, affected employee shall receive reimbursement for <br /> the months of November and December, 1978; (3) on April 9, <br /> 1979 , each qualifying affected employee shall receive reimburse- <br /> ment for the months of January, February and March, 1979; (4) on <br /> July 9, 1979, each qualifying, affected employee shall receive <br /> reimbursement for the months of April, May and June, 1979.
