That the granting of a variance will not adversely affect the <br />General Plan of the City. <br />The granting of the variance will not adversely affect <br />the City's General Plan in any way as the land use <br />designation of General Commercial (GC) allows <br />signage in conjunction with retail uses in the land use <br />designation. <br />Section 2. This project was reviewed in accordance with the <br />Guidelines for the California Environmental Quality Act. The <br />recommendation is exempt from further review pursuant to Section 15311. <br />This Class 11 exemption applies to a project that involves the construction <br />of minor structures accessory to existing commercial buildings including <br />the construction of on-premise signs. Categorical Exemption <br />Environmental Review No. 2006-177 will be filed for this project. <br />Section 3. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />after conducting the public hearing hereby approves Variance No. 20010- <br />03 as conditioned in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein. <br />These decisions are based upon the evidence submitted at the above said <br />hearing, which includes but is not limited to: the Request for Planning <br />Commission Action dated July 26, 2010 and exhibits attached thereto and <br />the public testimony all of which are incorporated herein by this reference. <br />ADOPTED this 26th day of July , 2010 by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners: Acosta, Alderete, Betancourt.
