C. Approval of the Police Chief . <br /> 6 . 6 Senior Police Sergeant I . Any officer holding the rank <br /> of Police Sergeant in the Santa Ana Police Department , <br /> regardless of duty assignment, who fulfills the <br /> requirements established in this section shall be <br /> designated as a Senior Police Sergeant I and shall be <br /> paid at a rate set fifteen (15) salary rate ranges (7 . 5%) <br /> above his or her then current base monthly salary step . <br /> The criteria for such designation shall be as follows : <br /> A. Completion of five (5) years of municipal police <br /> experience and attainment of the "E" step of the <br /> base salary rate range for the Police Sergeant <br /> classification. <br /> B . Completion (acquisition) of at least sixty (60) <br /> educational and/or training units . <br /> C. Approval of the Police Chief . <br /> 6 . 7 Senior Police Sergeant II . Any officer holding the rank <br /> of Police Sergeant in the Santa Ana Police Department , <br /> regardless of duty assignment , who fulfills the <br /> requirements established in this section shall be <br /> designated as a Senior Police Sergeant II and shall be <br /> paid at a rate set twenty (20) salary rate ranges (10%) <br /> above his or her then current base monthly salary step in <br /> the Police Sergeant class . The criteria for such <br /> designation shall be as follows : <br /> A. Completion of seven (7) years of municipal police <br /> experience and attainment of "E" Step of the base <br /> salary rate range for the Police Sergeant <br /> classification. <br /> B . Completion (acquisition) of at least ninety (90) <br /> educational and/or training units; or possession of <br /> an Associate of Arts academic degree from an <br /> accredited college with an additional thirty (30) <br /> or more education or training units . <br /> C. Approval of the Police Chief . <br /> 6 . 8 Senior Police Sergeant III . Any officer holding the rank <br /> of Police Sergeant in the Santa Ana Police Department, <br /> regardless of duty assignment , who fulfills the <br /> requirements established in this section shall be <br /> designated as a Senior Police Sergeant III and shall be <br /> paid at a rate set twenty-five (25) salary rate ranges <br /> (12 . 5%) above his or her then current base monthly salary <br /> step in the Police Sergeant class .
