(9) <br />I. BACKGROUND <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />The City of Santa Ana, California, is rich in culture and pride, the county seat of Orange County, <br />and encompasses an area of approximately 27 square miles. For more information, please visit <br />https://www.santa-ana.org <br />II. OVERVIEW OF PROJECT <br />The City of Santa Ana (City) is seeking proposals from qualified firms and organizations <br />(Proposers) to provide to maintain and perform litter, debris, encampment and weed abatement <br />removal services on Caltrans right-of-way and City right-of-way adjacent to Caltrans properties <br />(i.e. freeway over/under passes freeway on/off ramps and freeway embankments) designated <br />by City Staff with the goal of keeping Caltrans public spaces free of litter, debris and weeds. <br />Work to be performed will include, but not be limited to, sections that are unimproved, run <br />underneath streets, and lower than grade or sloped. Contractor shall provide all labor, <br />equipment, transportation, materials and supplies necessary to perform work in accordance with <br />the specifications and provisions herein. <br />This contract is subject to prevailing wage rate laws. All contractors submitting a proposal and <br />subcontractors listed in their bids shall be registered prior to this proposal's deadline and, if <br />awarded a contract, maintain a valid registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) <br />at: http://www.dir.ca.gov/Public-Works/PublicWorks.html. <br />See EXHIBIT 1 for complete Scope of Services. <br />The term "Vendor", "Proposer", "Firm", "Consultants", and "Contractor" shall refer to any legal <br />entity or entities submitting a proposal in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP). <br />III. TERM OF AGREEMENT <br />The anticipated term of the agreement is for approximately a one (1)-year and ten (10)-month <br />term, subject to budget appropriation availability and City Council approval. The contract term <br />will expire June 30, 2027. <br />Usage is not guaranteed.
