ADDITIONSIDELETIONS TO CLOSED SESSION MINUTES: None. PUBLIC COMMENTS — Members of the public may address the City Council on Closed Session items. MINUTES: None. RECESS — City Council will recess to Closed Session for the purpose of conducting regular City business. MINUTES: MayorAmezcua recessed to consider the Closed Session items at 4:11 P.M. CLOSED SESSION ITEMS — The Brown Act permits legislative bodies to discuss certain matters without members of the public present. The City Council finds, based on advice from the City Attorney, that discussion in open session of the following matters will prejudice the position of the City in existing and anticipated litigation: 1. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL — EXISTING LITIGATION pursuant to Paragraph (1) of subdivision (d) of Section 54956.9 of the Government Code: A. Elizabeth Aracely Serrano v. City of Santa Ana, et al, OCSC Case No.: 30- 2025-01453185-CU-PA-CJC B. Orange County Apartment House Association, Inc. v City of Santa Ana, Orange County Superior Court, Case No. 30-2023-01308094-CU-JR-CXC MINUTES: Councilmember Phan recused herself from Item 1 B as the plaintiff is a client of her employer, Rutan and Tucker. She left the meeting at 4:17 P.M. and returned at 4: 26 P.M. 2. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL —ANTICIPATED LITIGATION pursuant to Section 54956.9(d)(2) of the Government Code: One matter MINUTES: Councilmember Hernandez joined the meeting at 5:12 P.M.
