Additional Courses. Any other course, twenty-four (24) hours or longer, which <br /> focuses on developing leadership skills or increasing knowledge of contemporary law <br /> enforcement issues of a management/executive nature,or which enhances knowledge <br /> of community policing strategies or trends, shall be reviewed and approved by the <br /> Chief of Police after they ensure that the above criteria are met. <br /> 6.2 Educational Incentive Program: Effective July 1, 2019 for all members covered by this <br /> MOU,including Current PMA members,employees hired or promoted into the PMA unit on <br /> or after July 1,2019, shall not be eligible for the Educational Incentives Program described <br /> in Section 6.1(A) through Section 6,1(I) (above) but shall instead be eligible for the <br /> Education Incentives listed in Sections 6.2(A)and 6.2(B).Employees who were previously <br /> receiving incentives in Section 6.1(A)through Section 6.1(1)that qualify for the provisions in <br /> this section on or after July 1,2019,shall not be eligible for both,only the greater benefit of <br /> the two. <br /> 16 <br />
