Construction Contract for Alley Improvement <br />January 20, 2026 <br />Page 5 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the recommended actions <br />are exempt from further review pursuant to Section 15301 (c) of the CEQA Guidelines <br />for projects consisting of repairs and minor alterations of existing pedestrian facilities. <br />The proposed project continues to meet these parameters of the CEQA Guidelines, and <br />Categorical Exemption Environmental Review No. ER-2025-8 will be filed for Project 26- <br />6910 (Exhibit 4). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />As indicated in the Cost Analysis, the estimated total construction delivery cost of the <br />project is $765,625. All funds are available for expenditure in Fiscal Year 2025-26. Any <br />remaining balances not expended at the end of the fiscal year will be presented to City <br />Council for approval of carryovers into Fiscal Year 2026-27 (Exhibit 5). <br />The proposed contract authorizes staff a maximum of 10% for construction contract <br />change orders for unanticipated or unforeseen work.
