Our building in downtown Santa
Ana has become a central hub for social justice and community organizing across the city and
throughout Orange County. We deeply understand the importance of spaces that are owned
and governed by the community they serve.
To date, the project has generated at least five permanent full-time jobs and more than ten
temporary jobs, in addition to over thirty jobs created during the construction phase. Looking
ahead, THRIVE anticipates creating at least ten additional part-time jobs over the next five
years through expanded programming and the growth of existing small businesses.
As THRIVE advances additional projects in the coming years, the acquisition of La Colmena
will serve as a foundational step in establishing and strengthening the Community Land Trust
model in Santa Ana and Southern California.
We respectfully urge your support in helping secure La Colmena as a permanent, community-
owned asset for the residents of Santa Ana, and we respectfully urge the City to help make La
Colmena the first CLT-owned asset in Santa Ana.
