Forty Martyrs Armenian Church Middle School March 17, 2025 <br />5311 West McFadden Ave, Santa Ana Focused Traffic Impact Study <br /> <br />K2 Traffic Engineering, Inc. 24 <br />The study found that the 95th percentile queue for left turns on Euclid Street at <br />McFadden Avenue have exceeded the pocket length. However, the existing two-way- <br />left-turn lanes on Euclid Street have essentially provided additional space to <br />accommodate the extended queues. Therefore, mitigation measure is not required. <br />CURRENT DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP OPERATIONS (PK-6) <br />The parking lot of the adjacent Harut Barsamian Armenian Center (HBAC) has always <br />been used for preschool drop-off and pick-up activities. The proof of authorization from <br />HBAC is shown in Appendix D. The school/church parking lot are used by all other <br />students (K-6) for drop-off and pick-up, as shown in Exhibit 10. <br /> <br />Drop-off and pick-up activities for Ari Guiragos Minassian School (PK-6) students take <br />place between 7:45 AM and 8:00 AM. The gate at the school opens at 8:00 AM and <br />Morning Prayer Assembly begins at 8:15 AM. PK-6 students arriving after 8:20 AM are <br />considered tardy entry and enter though administrative offices. <br /> <br />The existing elementary school (PK-6) currently enrolls a total of 184 students with <br />various pick-up times: Standard dismissal times are 3:10 PM for K-6th students and 3:15 <br />PM for preschool students (in different areas as discussed earlier). Early pick-up for <br />about 30 preschool kids normally takes place before 12:00 PM and between 2:00 PM <br />and 3:00 PM. Late pick-up for about 40 students enrolled in the after-school programs <br />of sports and enrichment activities occurs between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM. During <br />dismissal periods, all students are required to wait in the classroom until called by staff <br />via walkie-talkie upon parent’s arrival. Drop-off and pick-up activities are monitored by <br />school staff and security staff, and the operations have been well organized and <br />efficient. <br />
