EXHIBIT B <br /> SPECIAL PROVISION <br /> B.1 An incumbent who was employed as of August 16, 1991 in the classification of Assistant Plan <br /> Check Engineer I or Il, Associate Plan Check Engineer, or Senior Plan Check Engineer and <br /> who, as of December 31, 1987, had possessed a valid Plan Examiner Certificate issued by the <br /> 1CB0 shall continue to be paid at rate set ten (10) salary rate ranges (approximately five <br /> percent(5.0%) above their then current base salary step. <br /> However, effective January 1, 1988, said ten (10) range differential shall be reduced to five <br /> (5) salary rate ranges (approximately two and one-half percent (2.5%), for any incumbent of <br /> said classifications who is issued their initial certificate on or after January 1, 1988. Effective <br /> January 1,2023,the pay differential in this provision shall be approximately two and one-half <br /> percent(2.5%)above their base monthly salary step. This provision only applies to the single <br /> employee receiving the pay differential and will sunset at the time the employee is no longer <br /> eligible (due to separation, change in classification or bargaining unit,etc.)to receive the pay <br /> differential in this provision. <br /> 2025 MUU City of Santa Ana&SEW Full-Time Employees Unit Page 100 <br />
