penalties or procedures provided by law, nor is exhaustion of remedies under this <br /> section a prerequisite to the assertion of any other such right. <br /> Secs. 8-3201 - 8.3299. - Reserved. <br /> Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of <br /> this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of <br /> any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the <br /> remaining portions of this Ordinance. The People of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br /> declare that they would have adopted this Ordinance and each section, subsection, <br /> sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more <br /> sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions be declared invalid or <br /> unconstitutional. <br /> Section 3. Pursuant to California Elections Code Section 9222, this Ordinance <br /> must approved by a majority of the eligible voters of the City of Santa Ana voting at the <br /> General Municipal Election of November 5, 2024. <br /> Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective ten days (10) days after the <br /> City Council has certified the results of the General Municipal Election by resolution. <br /> Section 5. Following the City Clerk's certification that the qualified voters of <br /> Santa Ana have approved this Ordinance, the Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the <br /> City Clerk shall cause the same to be entered into the book of original ordinances of <br /> said City; and shall cause the same, or a summary thereof, to be published as required <br /> by law. <br /> 40 <br /> Resolution No. 2026-006 <br /> Page 42 of 82 <br />
