Oakmont Avenue) <br />RECOMMENDED ACTIONS <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2024-11 <br />and Historic Register Categorization No. 2024-09; and <br />2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and City Clerk to execute <br />the attached Mills Act agreement with Lance Uradomo and Tilly Gurman, for the property <br />located at 2424 North Oakmont Avenue, subject to non -substantive changes approved <br />by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br />Lance Uradomo and Tilly Gurman (property owners and applicants) are requesting <br />approval to designate an existing Colonial Revival -style residence located at 2424 N. <br />Oakmont Avenue to the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties, as well as approval <br />to execute a Mills Act agreement with the City of Santa Ana. The property qualifies for <br />listing in the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties under Criterion 1 as an intact <br />example of Colonial Revival -style house and under Criterion 4, due to its associations <br />with real estate developer Oliver L. Halsell, who was notable for playing a central role in <br />the establishment of Fairhaven Memorial Park. The property is worthy of "Key" <br />categorization because it has a distinctive architectural style and quality as a Colonial <br />Revival -style residence and is associated with a significant person in Santa Ana's history. <br />The property's character -defining features relate to the original construction of the <br />residence and include, but are not necessarily limited to, its two-story massing, hipped <br />roof, horizontal wood -plank and stucco siding, existing original windows, molded <br />Classically inspired details at the front entrance and elsewhere on the primary (east) <br />elevation. <br />
