this briefing, Supv. DA Inv. Tanner provided all information known about the investigation at <br />that time. This information, furthermore, was inclusive of the decedent¶s name, <br />the specific location of his death, a housing module located within the Santa Ana Detention <br />Facility, as well as critical aspects of the occurrence. At the culmination of the <br />aforementioned briefing, I was assigned Interviewing/Canvassing Officer responsibilities and <br />partnered with DA Inv. Brower. <br />0528 Hours: <br />DA Inv. Brower and I proceeded to the SADF in furtherance of the investigation into <br />demise. <br />0530 Hours: <br />The SAPD and OCDA Office personnel, as indicated above, and I arrived at the SADF. <br />0534 Hours: <br />I arrived at the general location associated with the custodial death investigation, which was <br />identified as the third floor custodial housing area, Section D, as located within the SADF.  <br />Upon my arrival, I was signed into the investigative scene by SAPD Patrol Division Officer K. <br />Gray #3654. <br />0547 Hours: <br />I attended an on scene briefing in regard to the above indicated incident as conducted by <br />SAPD Patrol Division Sergeant J. Garcia #3030. During this briefing, Sgt. Garcia <br />disseminated additional information in regard to the death as known at the present <br />time. This information, furthermore, was inclusive of the precise location of the incident, the <br />single person detention cell identified by the characters D24 as located on the mezzanine <br />level of the aforementioned detention housing module, and the critical information known <br />about the death at the time of briefing. This death, furthermore, was preliminarily <br /> . At the time of Sgt. Garcia¶s briefing, SADF Correctional <br />Officer M. Velasquez #2748 was identified as the last person to see alive and <br />Correctional Officer C. Fernandez #3142 was identified as the SADF staff member who <br />discovered subsequent to his demise.  <br />0602 Hours: <br />I walked the investigative scene, viewing it in its entirety.  <br />0620 Hours to 0725 Hours: <br />DA Inv. Brower and I conducted canvassing duties associated with custodial death <br />investigation.
