City of Santa Ana California Governor's Office of Emergency Services <br />Training and Exercise Santa Ana <br />A25'l016440 R <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />TRAINING COURSES <br />GAVIN NEWSOM <br />GOVERNOR <br />July 09, 2025 <br />Subject: Single Source Training <br />Provider To Whom It May <br />Concern: <br />Pursuant to California Government Code, Title 2, Division 1, Chapter 7, Sections <br />8588 (Cl) and (b), the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal <br />OES), through the California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI), is responsible For <br />providing "troining to state agencies, cities, counties, and other <br />nongovernmental agencies in their plonning and preparation for disasters." <br />As part of this mission, CSTI delivers courses that are developed and maintained <br />by the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) National Disaster <br />Emergency Management University (NDEMU). FEMA authorizes each state's <br />emergency management office to enhance the base curriculum for their states, <br />deliver the courses, and issue state-level certificates for these courses. These <br />courses are distinguished by a "G" designator in the course number. <br />In California, CSTI is the sole authorized presen+er of "G" courses; that is, CSTI is <br />the only entity within California authorized to issue state-level certification for <br />completed training. The same applies to CSTI's own curriculum. <br />The classes for which CSTI is the single source training provider include: <br />* G197, In+egroting Access and Functional Needs into Emergency Management <br />* G205, Recovery from Disaster: The Local Community Role <br />* G235, Emergency Planning <br />* G288, Local Volunteer and Donations Management <br />* G358, Evacuation and Re-Entry Planning Course
