SA 18-021 <br />Investigator: Chris Peterson Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 07/05/18 Date: 07/05/2018 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CASE NAME: TAYLOR <br />CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING (FATAL) <br />TYPE: OFFICER PROCESSING <br />AGENCY: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />On Monday, June 2nd, 2018, at approximately 0340 hours, I witnessed Orange County <br />Crime Lab Forensic Specialist SYDNEY WALKER process the following Santa Ana Police Officer <br />under FR# 18-49132-3: <br /> GAVIN ROELOFS, # 3514. <br />The following individuals were present during the processing: <br /> Attorney <br /> JIM GARCIA Detective, Santa Ana Police Department <br /> BRYAN ATKINSON Corporal, Santa Ana Police Department <br /> LAURA BENABIDES Orange County Forensic Specialist (trainee) <br /> STAN BERRY Supervising OC District Attorney’s Investigator <br /> The officer was assigned to the Patrol Division and was wearing a Santa Ana Police <br />Department issued uniform, which consisted of dark blue pants and a dark blue uniform shirt <br />with Santa Ana Police Department patches on each of the shoulders. Attached to the left front <br />breast of the uniform shirt was a metal Santa Ana Police Department badge. There was also a <br />name tag affixed to the right front breast shirt pocket. There was an empty Body-Worn Camera <br />holder affixed to the center of his uniform shirt. The officer was wearing a Santa Ana Police <br />Department issued leather Sam Brown duty belt. <br />Officer ROELOF’S Sam Brown duty belt contained the following items: <br /> Radio <br />ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE <br />BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION <br /> <br />SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT <br />
