The extremities show no evidence of any <br />edema, needle tracks, deformity, or abnormal mobility . <br />EVIDENCE OF THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION: There are bilateral thoracotomy <br />sites noted of each chest cavity with associated sutured thoracotomy tubes. In <br />addition, there is an intravenous line of the left inguinal fossa and an intravenous <br />line of the right antecubital fossa. There are intraosseous needles of both shins. <br />There are also electrocardiographic monitoring pads of the anterior torso and there <br />is an endotracheal tube and an endogastric tube in the proper location. An oxygen <br />sensor has also been applied towards the left index finger. <br />EVIDENCE OF FRESH TRAUMA: There are abrasion marks around the left <br />anterior shoulder. In addition, there is a contusion combination with a weak <br />abrasion of the dorsum of the nose. Abrasions are also noted around the posterior <br />left upper arm and the posterior right upper arm, which are broader in appearance <br />compared to the left side. There is a weak abrasion of the upper shin. In addition, <br />there is a superficial cut which measures 3/16 of an inch in greatest length, with a <br />surrounding contusion of the palm of the right hand in the area of the thenar <br />muscles. <br />DESCRIPTION OF GUNSHOT WOUNDS <br />GUNSHOT WOUND #1, RIGHT UPPER BACK <br />ENTRY: The entry site is located at the right upper back, 5 inches right of the <br />midline and 16-1/2 inches below the top of the head. The wound itself measures <br />3/16 of an inch in greatest dimension, is of round shape. There is a broad muzzle <br />imprint of 1 /4-inch in width, which is completely surrounding the entry site. There is <br />also soot deposited on the muzzle imprint area as well as within the soft tissues. In <br />addition, there are linear abrasive marks, almost in the shape of a square <br />surrounding the muzzle imprint. No stippling is noted. <br />EXIT: The exit site is located at the area of the right inner chest, 3 inches right of <br />the midline, as well as approximately 17 inches below the top of the head. It is of <br />round to irregular shape and measures 3/8 of an inch in greatest dimension. <br />PROJECTILE: There is no projectile recovered. <br />2020-02·04 KC
