On arrival, we met with Officer Jimenez who directed us to the crime scene located on th e southeast <br />end of the complex. <br />I observed that yellow crime scene tape had been used to secure the exterior perimeter of the crime scene, and red <br />crime scene tape had been used to secure the interior crime scene. is a ground level apartment with a south facing <br />entrance and has a south facing patio. I obtained overall photographs of the scene from a position outside of the red <br />crime scene tape. Photographs were also take n of suspect Mercado as he was being placed in the ambulance for <br />transport to the hospital. <br />At approximately 0008 hours we cleared the scene.
