Santa Ana PD 2015-06456: Supplemental Report by #2592 Page 3 of 3 <br />Vehicle m Number: <br />Registered owner: <br />Legal owner: <br />Narrative: <br />Friday, 3/13/'15, 0900 Hours: <br />I attended the post mortem examination of Benito Osorio, at the Orange County Coroner's <br />Office located at I 07'1 W. Santa Ana Blvd. in Santa Ana. The examining pathologist was Dr. <br /> others present in the room were Forensic Scientist Forensic <br />Specialist J and the Forensic Assistant was District Attorney <br />Investigator and I viewed the autopsy through a glass window in an adjoining <br />room. <br />The examination began at about 0905 hours, when the coroner's staff removed the decedent <br />Benito Osorio from the white coroner body bag that was on the examination table. I noted that <br />Osorio had multiple gunshot wounds on his body and head. I also noted that Osorio had <br />medical devices such as EKG stickers, a tube in his mouth, a large needle on his upper right <br />chest, and a plastic 1.V. device on his lower leg below the leff knee. <br />Forensic Scientist J collected fingernail scrapings from Osorio's fingernails. Forensic <br />Specialist took photographs of the body. <br /> noted that Osorio had multiple gunshot wounds to his body and head. Dr. <br /> dvised that it appeared a self-inflicted gunshot wound had entered under the chin <br />and exited the forehead but was not immediately lethal. She noted a second gunshot wound <br />entered the brid e of his nose and trav lled down o a erneck/upperchest <br />area and lodging there. <br /> noted a gunshot wound to Osorio's right chest area with stippling. The bullet <br />fragment was recovered from his upper right back. She noted this was a lethal wound as it <br />disrupted the carotid artery. She noted a second lethal gunshot wound entered the right <br />abdomen which disrupted some major blood vessels which she advised was also a lethal <br />wound. <br /> noted an additional gunshot wound which entered the lower abdomen area and <br />ended in the lower right buttocks area where the bullet was recovered. Dr. Davenport noted 4 <br />entry holes including stippling to Osorio's right arm/elbow. She removed a bullet and jacket <br />fragments from his elbow and noted only 1 exit wound. <br />The autopsy was concluded Forensic collected all bullet and jacket fragments <br />that were removed from Osorio's body.
