It was Officer Berwanger's perception that Osorio was indeed deceased at <br />this time. SAPD Patrol Division Sgt. D. Humphrey #2725 and assisting officers then <br />advanced upon Osorio and took him into custody. <br />When asked for his mindset in regard to the possible outcome of the incident had the <br />officers on scene not fired, Officer Berwanger stated opined that Osorio would have fired <br />upon the officers in an attempt to engage them in a gun battle had this not occutred. <br />Investigation continues <br />Detective M.
