Serrano requested assistance with an officer <br />involved shooting. <br />1405 hours <br />I attended briefing led by Sgt. Serrano at the Santa Ana Police Department. The information <br />provideawasthatanassaultwithadead wea nhadoccurredbetweentwo aLesubjects. <br />-The suspect fled and was stopped by officers in the area of 300 S. Main Street, where the <br />officer involved shooting subsequently occurred. Refer to the initial police reports for further <br />details. <br />1430 hours <br />I arrived at the crime scene and entered from the west perimeter at the 100 block of W. Pine. I <br />checked in with Ofc. E. Martinez #3349 who was maintaining a crime scene personnel log. <br />1513 hours <br />Sgt. Smith #1998 was the scene supervisor and provided a briefing regarding the officer <br />involved shooting. Present were detectives of the Santa Ana Police Department Homicide <br />Unit, Family Crimes Unit, Internal Affairs, and Investigators from the Orange County District <br />Attorney's Shooting Team. <br />At the completion of the briefing, I was assigned to assist OCDA Investigator Vivian Tabb with <br />a canvas of the area. <br />The following is a synopsis of the statements made by the individuals who were contacted <br />during the canvas.
