Cabrera Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 03/19/15 Date: 03/20/2015 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CASE NAME: OSORIO, BENITO <br />CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING (FATAL) <br />TYPE: INITIAL RESPONSE <br />AGENCY: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />On Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at approximately 1315 hours, Orange County District <br />Attorney (OCDA) Supervising Investigator MARK GUTIERREZ contacted me regarding an officer <br />involved shooting incident involving the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD). GUTIERREZ <br />requested I respond to the area of 300 South Main Street, in the city of Santa Ana, and assist <br />with the investigation. <br />At 1425 hours, I arrived at the incident location and met with investigators from the <br />OCDA and from the SAPD, who were present to assist in the investigation. <br />At 1513 hours, SAPD Sergeant JEFF SMITH conducted a briefing of the known <br />circumstances surrounding the incident for the personnel involved in the investigation. <br />Following the briefing, GUTIERREZ teamed me with OCDA Investigator MICHAEL <br />KENDRICK and SAPD Detective MICHAEL JUDSON and assigned us to supervise the processing of <br />the scene by Orange County Crime Lab personnel. <br />For details regarding the processing of the scene, refer to OCDA Investigator MICHAEL <br />KENDRICK’s report. <br />ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE <br />BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION <br /> <br />SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT <br />
