He then placed <br /> (BACKGROUND <br />NOISES) for purposes of this interview, <br /> , (BACKGROUND <br />NOISE) . <br /> <br /> . I saw the suspect slump down (SOUND OF RUSTLING PAPER) and I <br />immediately heard the engine rev. I ca-, I image the, uh, the vehicle was <br />in park because it revved…and so…the revving of the engine stopped and <br />it appeared to myself that… <br /> I was still at the passenger <br />side of that unit and in my peripheral vision, to my right about 15 feet <br />away I saw about two officers wanting to walk up to the passenger side <br />of the vehicle (THUNKING NOISES)…and it was my understanding that my <br />partners were naturally compelled ta help this person after what had just <br />taken place, that they wanted to render aid. I gave up my position where <br />I was and I side-stepped between the white truck and a patrol car to join <br />them because I didn’t feel they were adequately covered.
