SA 15-005 <br />The preliminary examination of the exterior of the Toyota pick-up truck revealed the <br />following: <br />There was a moderate amount of blood splattered along the exterior side of the left <br />rear, passenger door and quarter panel. The glass in the driver’s door was shattered and was <br />missing from the door frame. There was a bullet hole through the driver’s door, in the door <br />frame area surrounding the driver side window, located above the exterior door handle. This <br />appeared to be an entrance hole on one side of the door, and an exit hole on the other side, <br />caused by a bullet traveling through it. The driver side mirror was broken and appeared to have <br />been struck by a bullet or a fragment of a bullet. <br />There was a bullet protrusion from the interior of the driver’s door frame, between the <br />driver’s door and the windshield of the vehicle. This appeared to be an interior bullet strike <br />when the door was open. There were two bullet holes in the driver’s door the exterior door <br />handle. There was one bullet hole in the left rear passenger door, near the exterior door <br />handle of the driver’s door. There appeared to be a bullet strike mark in the center of the left, <br />rear, passenger door. There were two bullet holes in the exterior, left side (driver’s side) of the <br />tailgate. There was an exterior bullet hole in the roof of the vehicle; located just behind the <br />driver’s seat, and appeared to be an exit hole. <br />The preliminary examination of the interior of the Toyota pick-up truck revealed the <br />following: <br />On top of the center counsel, next to the gear shift lever and between the driver and <br />passenger seat was a “Smith and Wesson” gun case, blue in color which was open. Previously <br />at the Officer Involved Shooting (OIS) scene on Main Street, I had noted that there was a live, <br />9mm, ammunition round sitting loose inside the open gun case; however, I now observed that <br />Investigator: C.
