Ordloeoaeoo1°Reedlog <br />Q OrdioaoaeooPie Reedlog <br />Q ImplemeMiog Resolulioo <br />Q SO Pudllo Hearieg For_ <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Approve Change Order No.1(or SR551MacAhhur Boulevard ramps widening for an estimated <br />cost of $600,000 <br />DISCUSSION <br />CONTINUED TO <br />Due to the Measure M funding deadline for the award of construction o(June 30, 2010, the ramp <br />widening project at the SR55 and MacAdhur Boulevard was advertised prior to receiving Caltrans <br />final design revision. The construction project was awarded while the plans were still In review by <br />CalUans Caltrans involvement was necessary since the ramp Improvements are'm a State 11ght- <br />of•way. After the bid award in June 2010, Caltrans revised the plans according to ifs design and <br />construction standaMs. The revisions include 'increasing the limits of the project, revising the <br />pavement section and ramp metering system, and replacement of the metal beam guard railing <br />as mandated by Caltrans. Thls change order Is fo authorise the contractor to perform the revised <br />work, which will be done based on both unit bid prices and negotiated pricing (Exhibits 1 and 2j. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no enuironmen(al impact associated with Phis action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The cost far the change order Is estimated of $600,000. Funds are available in the Measure M <br />Regional Interchange Program Fund (accounting unit 03211660.66220) and the Transportation <br />System Improvement Area E Funtl (accounting unit 03417660.66220j.
