subject prior to hearing the gunshots. When asked to describe the object the subject was holding, she could only <br />describe it as a long object. <br /> did not see the subject point the object at anyone or communicate with anyone else. She did say she was <br />tending to the food that was cooking on the grill and not giving the subject her full attention. <br /> said she heard 5 gunshots and could not tell from what direction they came from. After hearing the gunshots, <br />she suffered from her panic attack and could not tell us what happened next. She did see police personnel arrive after <br />hearing the gunshots. <br />She described the subject as a male, approximately 5’10 in height, NFD. <br /> added she has been having issues with her eyesight and getting treatment for her ailment. Gomez #2706 <br />Author: Gomez, Francisco 2706 BWC NOT Activated <br />Narrative: Narrative <br />MENTIONED: <br />1.California Department of Justice: Special Agent Michael Wyatt <br />2. <br />WITNESS: <br />Phone: <br />NARRATIVE: <br />On 12/01/24, at approximately 1708 hours, the Santa Ana Police Department Communications Center received a call <br />of a subject armed with a shotgun. The reporting party indicated he observed the suspect in the area of 300 E. 1st <br />Street, Santa Ana. Officers responded to the area but were unable to locate the suspect. <br />At approximately 1732 hours, the Santa Ana Police Department Communications Center received a call of a male <br />armed with a rifle and loading it. The call came from an employee at 116 N. Broadway. <br />Santa Ana Police Officers responded to the area. Upon arrival, Santa Ana Police Officers encountered the suspect, <br />later identified as , south of Casa Linda Furniture, 116 N. Broadway. The encounter lead to an <br />Officer Involved Shooting. <br />Officers contacted witnesses in the area and transported them to the Santa Ana Police Department for an interview. <br />California Department of Justice Special Agent Michael Wyatt requested Detective G. Bodnar #3337 and I conduct <br />the interview with one of the witnesses. The witness was identified as . <br />SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2024 – 2242 HOURS: <br />Detective Bodnar and I interviewed . The interview took place at the Santa Ana Police Department, in one of the <br />3rd floor interview rooms, interview room #3. The following is a summary of the Spanish video recorded <br />interview. After introductions, told us the following. <br />On Sunday, 12/01/24, night, she was working at the taco trailer, Diaz Tacos, with her coworker, . They <br />began their set up at 1600 hours and were scheduled to work until midnight, 0000 hours. The lunch trailer was parked <br />adjacent to Guadalajara Furniture, 117 N Broadway. At the time the of the incident, Reyes said there were no <br />customers at the lunch trailer. <br />While tending the lunch trailer, her attention was drawn to a police vehicle that traveled north on Broadway.
