On Sunday, 12/1/24, I was working uniformed patrol, and I was dispatched to a call for service at 2ND St and <br />Broadway St reference an officer involved shooting. It should be noted that the following incident was recorded on my <br />Axon body-worn camera (BWC) and later uploaded into evidence. All statements made below summarize facts and <br />circumstances and shall not be taken as all-encompassing of the event. There may have been times my camera was <br />shut off for investigative purposes. For exact dialogue, refer to my BWC. <br />           Upon arrival, at approximately 1738, I assisted with setting up crime scene tape to preserve the crime scene.  <br />Briefly, I was tasked with crime scene log, however, it was later assigned to Officer Carrillo. I was tasked with <br />transporting a witness to the Santa Ana Police Station where she could later be interviewed by Homicide Detectives. <br />This witness, positively identified as , was Spanish-speaking only and I am a certified Spanish- <br />speaking officer for the City of Santa Ana. <br />           At approximately 1830 hours, I transported   to the Santa Ana Police Department located at 60 Civic  <br />Center Plaza. Upon our arrival at the Santa Ana Police Department, was taken to the 3rd floor interview room <br />where she waited to be interviewed. <br />           Upon detectives completing their interview, I transported  back to her residence in the city of Santa Ana.  <br />This completes my assistance with this investigation. <br />           No further. <br />  <br />Officer A.
