suspect into custody. Upon our approach, I maintained lethal coverage of the suspect and observed the shotgun <br />positioned on the left side of the suspect's body, near his left hand. I relayed this information to my partners as they <br />made contact with him. The shotgun was black in color, with a brown stock and brown forearm. While wearing <br />protective gloves, I assisted in retrieving the firearm from Corporal Miranda #3528 and placed it on the ground <br />approximately 30 feet south of the suspect's location on the west sidewalk of Broadway. It was later determined that <br />the shotgun was a replica firearm. I was directed by Sergeant McClasky #3110 to remain with with replica firearm until <br />relieved of my post by Sergeant Barragan #2937. <br />At this time, Sergeant Barragan requested information from an SAPD arrest made on November 26th, 2024, at 0035 <br />hours, reference a male suspect with a handgun in the area of 4th St and Broadway. Please reference SAPD case <br />#2024-25754 for further details regarding the incident and subsequent arrest of a male suspect that appeared to be <br />the same individual from the OIS that had just occurred. I relayed the information to Sergeant Barragan and <br />maintained a position in the area northwest corner of 1st St and Broadway for continued scene security. <br />I was released from the scene by Sergeant McClasky on Monday, December 2nd, 2024, at 0102 hours. <br />This concluded my role in this incident. <br />Officer T.
