PROCEDURAL RULES <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2010-12 <br />Filed by Randall Jepson to allow the reconstruction of the Southwest Community <br />Center at 1601 West Second Street located in the Two Family Residential (R2) <br />zoning district. <br />PUBLISHED IN THE ORANGE COUNTY REPORTER: July 30, 2010 <br />PUBLICLY NOTICED: July 30, 2010 <br />RECOMMENDED MOTION: <br />Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit ' No. 2010-12 as <br />conditioned. <br />Principal Planner Vince Fregoso presented the staff report and recommendation. <br />Ruby Gonzales Woo, President of the Artesia Pilar Neighborhood Association <br />submitted a letter of support. <br />Nate Carlson, contractor, indicated construction for the new buildings are <br />expected to be completed by December, 2010. <br />Chairman Alderete commented on height of current structure; the issue of <br />children walking to/from school during meal times at the facility and signage on <br />the new building. Mr. Fregoso responded that volunteers are available to monitor <br />traffic during construction.
