OCDA Personnel:Gonzales, Carlos 349 <br />Involvement:Reporting 4/11/2023 <br />OCDA Personnel:Berry, Stan 235 <br />Involvement:Approving 4/11/2023 <br />On Friday, April 7, 2023, at approximately 19:30 hours, I was contacted by Orange County District Attorney (OCDA) <br />Supervising Investigator STAN BERRY regarding the officer-involved shooting of MARVIN MELGAREJO, involving <br />the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD). BERRY requested I respond to the intersection of Bishop Street and <br />Rosewood Avenue, Santa Ana, to assist in the investigation. <br />At approximately 20:40 hours, I arrived on the scene and met with personnel from the OCDA, SAPD, and the <br />Orange County Crime Lab (OCCL) who were present to assist in the investigation. <br />At approximately 21:31 hours, SAPD Sergeants MATT WHARTON and LUIS BARRAGAN provided a briefing of the <br />known circumstances surrounding the shooting.
