NARRATIVE: <br />On 04/07/2023 at approximately 2245 hours, I responded to to assist Forensic Specialist I (FSI) <br />Vazquez #3817 for a Crime Scene Investigation on an assault with a deadly weapon incident for the Santa Ana Police <br />'HSDUWPHQW 6$3'  8SRQ DUULYDO ZH ZHUH DGYLVHG E\ &RUSRUDO 9DOGH]  WKDW WKLV LQFLGHQW RFFXUUHG VKRUWO\ DIWHU <br />an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS) (SAPD CI#2023-07962) and Sergeant Barragan #2937 requested the scene be <br />processed by the SAPD Forensics Unit (not the Orange County Crime Lab who was processing the OIS crime <br />VFHQH  <br />I then scanned the scene with the LEICA RTC 360 Scanner. Seven scans were captured on Job #13. On 04/09/2023 <br />at approximately 0309 hours, the raw data was transferred from the LEICA RTC 360 Scanner USB flash drive to a <br />department-issued USB flash drive. The department-issued USB flash drive was booked into an SAPD evidence <br />locker. <br />A crime scene sketch was created; see attached. I then assisted FSI Vazquez in evidence collection, but all evidence <br />FROOHFWHG DW WKH VFHQH ZDV UHOLQTXLVKHG LQWR KHU FXVWRG\ EHIRUH OHDYLQJ WKH VFHQH IRU ERRNLQJ <br />It should be noted that during the investigation, my department-issued Axon 3 body-worn camera was activated and <br />recorded certain points of my investigation; it was later uploaded to the SAPD database.
