Narrative: Narrative
Sunday, October 15th, 2023 at 2303 hours:
I, Det G. Raya #3345 was contacted by Fullerton Police Officer Ham, who advised me that he had contacted and
arrested Daniel Quirino while handling a call for service. He stated the initial call for service was a domestic violence
investigation. As he arrived in the area of 1100 Sudden Avenue, in the City of Fullerton, CA he observed Quirino and
his girlfriend, . Ofc Ham conducted a records check and confirmed Quirino had an outstanding Ramey Arrest
Warrant reference this PC 664-187 investigation. Ofc Ham arrested Quirino and transported him to the Fullerton
Police Department. For further details, please refer to Ofc. Ham's arrest report documented under Fullerton Police
Departments case number 2023-61777.
Tuesday, October 17th, 20223 at 1721 hours:
I was advised Quirino had been transported to the Orange County Central Men's Jail, located at 550 N. FLower, in the
City of Santa Ana, CA.
Det R. Sandoval #3466 and I responded to conduct an interview with Quirino. It should be noted, the interview was
recorded using my department issued body worn camera. This is only a summary of the interview. For exact
statements and dialogue, please review the recorded footage which was later uploaded into Evidence.com
I read Quirino his Miranda rights, verbatim, from a Santa Ana Police Department Miranda Advisement form. Quirino
replied, "Yeah or yes" to understanding all his rights. Quirino agreed to speak to us. I asked Quirino if he knew why he
was placed under arrest and he replied for attempted murder, street terrorism and vandalism. I then showed Quirino a
still image from surveillance footage, which depicts two suspects exiting the suspect vehicle. I asked Quirino why
someone would say, he was the front passenger seen exiting the vehicle and yelling, "Calle Flores" prior to shooting
the victim. He stated whoever would say that would be lying. I asked him about Dante Castro and Quirino stated he
does not associate with him (Castro) anymore. I reminded Quirino that he was in possession of a phone at the time of
the shooting, and that the call detail records of that phone placed him in the City of Santa Ana, at the time of the
shooting. Quirino simply replied, "that wasn't me." Quirino then reminded me that he has told me in the past, "if you
got something on me, then take it to court." Quirino then requested a lawyer and the interview was terminated.
I, later booked the photographs shown to Quirino during this interview.
Investigation on going...
G.
