Narrative: Narrative <br />Friday, April 7th, 2023 ± hours: <br />Santa Ana Police Department Homicide Section Sergeant M. Sarabia #2565 notified me of an officer-involved <br />shooting that had just occurred in the area of S. Rosewood Avenue and W. Bishop Street in the city of Santa <br />$QD 6HUJHDQW 6DUDELD UHTXHVWHG WKDW , UHVSRQG WR WKH 6DQWD $QD 3ROLFH 'HSDUWPHQW WR DVVLVW ZLWK WKH LQYHVWLJDWLRQ <br />2055 hours: <br />, DUULYHG DW WKH +RPLFLGH 6HFWLRQ ZLWKLQ WKH ,QYHVWLJDWLRQV %XUHDX RI WKH 6DQWD $QD 3ROLFH 'HSDUWPHQW 6HUJHDQW <br />Sarabia conducted a preliminary briefing of the incident with detectives from the Homicide Section. <br />Sergeant Sarabia informed us that he was notified earlier this evening by Acting Watch Commander O. Sanchez <br />#2703 of an officer-involved shooting that had occurred at approximately 1841 hours at S. Rosewood Avenue and W. <br />%LVKRS 6WUHHW 6DQWD $QD 3ROLFH 'HSDUWPHQW &LYLF &HQWHU 3DWURO 2IILFHUV & &RIHU  DQG 5 6DQWDHOOD  <br />FRQGXFWHG D WUDIILF VWRS RI D YHKLFOH DQG WKH GULYHU H[LWHG WKH YHKLFOH DUPHG ZLWK D KDQGJXQ $Q RIILFHULQYROYHG <br />shooting ensued, and the suspect fled northbound on S. Rosewood Ave., eastbound on W. Myrtle St., then <br />southbound to the area of 400 S.
