Narrative: Narrative <br />Friday, April 7th, 2023 ± hours: <br />Santa Ana Police Department Homicide Section Sergeant M. Sarabia #2565 notified me of an officer- <br />involved shooting that had just occurred in the area of S. Rosewood Avenue and W. Bishop Street in the city <br />of Santa Ana. Sergeant Sarabia requested that I respond to the Santa Ana Police Department in order to <br />assist with the investigation. <br />2100 hours: <br />I arrived at the Homicide Section within the Investigations Bureau of the Santa Ana Police Department. <br />Sergeant Sarabia conducted a preliminary briefing of the incident with detectives from the Homicide <br />Section. <br />Sergeant Sarabia informed us that he was notified earlier this evening by Acting Watch Commander O.T. <br />Sanchez #2703 of an officer-involved shooting that had occurred at approximately 1841 hours at S. <br />Rosewood Avenue and W. Santaella #3717 conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle and the driver emerged from the <br />vehicle armed with a handgun.
