On 04/07/23, at approximately 1850 Hours, I was a Corporal with the Santa Ana Police Department assigned to <br />patrol. I responded to assist officers who were involved in a shooting. I responded to the area of Bishop St and <br />Rosewood Ave in the City of Santa Ana. Corporal Solorio asked me to obtain an Officer Safety Statement from Officer <br />Cofer. Corporal Solorio was going to coordinate the felony traffic stop of the suspect vehicle. I asked Officer Cofer <br />how many shots were fired and he told me approximately 8. I asked in what direction and he responded "north". I <br />asked if there was anybody outstanding and he told me there was one person outstanding. I asked if he was injured <br />and he told me no. I asked K-9 officer Guidery to stand-by with Officer Cofer. <br />I later contacted a possible witness who was seated in her car near the Officer Involved Shooting. The female was <br />identified as and she was seated in the driver seat of her vehicle. I identified her and asked Officer <br />Mondragon to stand by with her. was later transported to the Santa Ana Police station and interviewed by <br />detectives. <br />I stayed onscene and assisted with perimeter security.
