Suspect: Malgarejo, Marvin (DOB: 01/11/2003) Narrative: On 04/07/2023 at approximately 1925 hours, I responded to OC Global Medical Center located at 1001 N. Tustin Avenue for a crime scene investigation on an officer involved shooting. Upon arrival, I contacted Officer Taroy #3756 and Officer Bland #3753 who directed me to the suspect. As I arrived to the scene, suspect Marvin Malgarejo (DOB: 01/11/2003) was being treated by medical staff and taken to another area for further medical examinations. As we waited for suspect Malgarejo, medical staff indicated they had recovered a bullet from suspect Malgarejo and placed it in a clear specimen jar. I photographed the bullet in the specimen jar for documentation purposes. Medical staff retained custody of the bullet. Once suspect Malgarejo had been treated, he was assigned a bed in room #T-2 within the Emergency Room of OC Global Medical Center. Suspect Malgarejo had been treated and several areas were bandaged. I observed suspect Malgarejo had a red stain on his left eyelid and right side of his jaw. Additionally, his left arm was wrapped and placed in an arm sling. There were several medical patches attached to wires on his chest. His right thigh and right calf were also medically wrapped prior to my arrival. Lastly, I observed a laceration on his left thigh which appeared to be medically stapled together. I photographed suspect Malgarejo for documentation purposes. Suspect Malgarejo initially indicated he had complaints of pain on his right leg then indicated he had complaints of pain on his whole body. It should be noted that during my investigation, my department issued AXON 3 body worn camera was activated and recorded certain points in the investigation.
