On April 7, 2023, I was working uniformed patrol, in the city of Santa Ana, County of Orange. At approximately 1840 hours, I responded to the area of 600 S. Rosewood Av., reference broadcast of an officer involved shooting. 8SRQ P\ DUULYDO , DVVLVWHG ZLWK WKH IHORQ\ FDU VWRS WDNLQJ WKH SDVVHQJHU LQWR FXVWRG\ Once the scene was declared safe, I began canvassing the area for potential witnesses. At , I contacted informed me he did not witness anything, but did hear gunshots. stated he has a ring camera facing southeast towards the intersection of Mrytle St. and Shelton St. managed to capture a still frame of an individuals standing on Shelton St. south of Myrtle St. At approximately 1845.14 hours, a single frame was captured from the ring camera showing a male, Hispanic, wearing a white t-shirt, standing near the east sidewalk. did not show me any more photos or videos. I cleared the scene at approximately 2118 hours. I returned to the scene at approximately 0050 hours. At approximately 0130 hours, I assumed the scribe position from Officer B. Goens. At approximately 0440 hours, I cleared the scene and maintained chain of custody of the suspect's vehicle from the scene to B&D tow yard. At approximately 0511 hours, I witnessed B&D tow employees place the suspect's vehicle into the tow yard's secured indoor section. At approximately 0525 hours, I returned to the scene and took control of the crime scene log. I later booked the crime scene log into evidence at the Santa Ana Police Department.
