On March 7, 2023, Officer S. Caceres #3576 and I were working uniformed patrol in the City of Santa Ana, County of <br />2UDQJH LQ D PDUNHG EODFN DQG ZKLWH 6DQWD $QD 3ROLFH YHKLFOH :H ZRUNLQJ D  PDQQHG XQLW DQG RXU FDOO VLJQ ZDV <br />$ $W DSSUR[LPDWHO\  KRXUV ZH UHVSRQGHG WR WKH LQWHUVHFWLRQ RI %LVKRS 6W DQG 5RVHZRRG $YH LQ UHIHUHQFH WR <br />an officer involved shooting. <br />0\ $;21 ERG\ ZRUQ FDPHUD ZDV DFWLYDWHG IRU WKH HQWLUHW\ RI P\ LQYHVWLJDWLRQ 7KLV LV D VXSSOHPHQWDO UHSRUW GHWDLOLQJ <br />my assistance. <br />It is worth mentioning, Officer Caceres and I were not logged on upon arriving on scene. Officer Caceres and I had <br />LQLWLDWHG RXU VKLIW DQG OHIW WKH VWDWLRQ LQ DQ XUJHQW PDWWHU WR DVVLVW WKH 2IILFHUV LQYROYHG LQ WKH VKRRWLQJ <br />Upon arrival I assisted with the high risk felony traffic stop. I observed a older model Chevy Tahoe with a male <br />SDVVHQJHU LQ WKH IURQW SDVVHQJHU VHDW 7KH WUDIILF VWRS ZDV MXVW QRUWK RI %LVKRS 6W RQ 5RVHZRRG $YH 7KH VXVSHFWV <br />hands were outside the window. Once sufficient resources responded to the traffic stop the passenger was ordered <br />RXW RI WKH YHKLFOH 2IILFHU &DFHUHV DQG , KDQGFXIIHG WKH LQGLYLGXDO DQG HVFRUWHG KLP WR WKH EDFN RI D 6DQWD $QD 3ROLFH <br />YHKLFOH <br />Officer Caceres identified the detained subject as Roberto-Gonzalez-Diaz. At a later time, Officer Caceres and I <br />transported Roberto to the Santa Ana Police Department to be interviewed.
