RESOLUTION NO. 2010-040 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE CITY'S GRANT APPLICATION <br />FOR THE CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 84 (SUSTAINABLE <br />COMMUNITIES PLANNING GRANT AND INCENTIVES <br />PROGRAM UNDER THE SAFE DRINKING WATER, WATER <br />QUALITY AND SUPPLY, FLOOD CONTROL, RIVER AND <br />COASTAL PROTECTION BOND ACT OF 2006) AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL <br />NECESSARY DOCUMENTS IN FURTHERANCE THEREOF <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares that the California Proposition 84 (Sustainable Communities Planning <br />Grant and Incentives Program under the Safe Drinking Water, Water Quality and <br />Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2006) provides funds <br />to support the development and implementation of effective and/or innovative local <br />plans that further the state's AB 32 GHG emission reduction targets and implement SB <br />375, while creating sustainable communities. <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby approves the <br />grant application and authorizes the City Manager to execute all necessary documents <br />related to the Grant Application including actions necessary to accept the Grant if <br />approved. <br />Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br />ADOPTED this 16th day of Au ust, 2010. <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />ph W.
