COMMISSIONER COMMENTS <br /> MINUTES: Commissioner Diaz thanked Director Sternberg for the events at the <br /> community centers and is looking forward to Brew at the Zoo. She is happy about all <br /> the added features at the zoo and recommended that the Chicano Heritage event is <br /> earlier this year. <br /> Commissioner Gonzalez thanked everyone for all their hard work. <br /> Commissioner Reyes thanked Director Sternberg for the information, she is excited <br /> about the Library renovation, and thanked Deputy Director Fisher for everything at the <br /> zoo and hopes to go to the Brew at the Zoo. <br /> Commissioner Rodriguez thanked all for the updates, hopes that the membership <br /> exchange continues in the future. <br /> Commissioner Woo urged the public to participate so that the city is made aware of the <br /> problem areas of the community and talked about an event she attended at the <br /> Riverview golf course that supported a local charity. <br /> Vice Chair Zacarias Torres thanked all for the updates, and asked if the hours of the <br /> community centers could be reconsidered so they are better utilized for cooling centers. <br /> Executive Director Scott mentioned that the budget survey is open and he will send it to <br /> them. <br /> Chair Herrera seconded the comment from Vice Chair about the center hours being <br /> considered and asked about planning budget presentations and parks tour. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> The next meeting of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission is <br /> scheduled for Thursday, March 26th at 5:30 pm at the Santa Anita Community Center, <br /> 300 S Figueroa St, Santa Ana, CA 92703. <br /> MINUTES: Chair Herrera adjourned the Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br /> Commission meeting at 6:38 pm. <br /> Respectfully submitted: <br /> Hannah Wayne <br /> Recording Secretary <br /> Parks, Recreation and Community Services 5 2/26/2026 <br /> Commission <br />
