Future Youth Commission Planning Discussion — Vice Chair Benitez <br /> MINUTES: Executive Director Hawk Scott followed up about the separate <br /> Instagram account. The youth commissioners thanked him for looking into it. <br /> EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR COMMENTS <br /> MINUTES: Executive Director Hawk Scott talked about the Santa Ana Zoo Rivers Edge <br /> Grand opening, the upcoming Tet Festival, and gave compliments to the community <br /> engagement team and the new Cultura magazine. He will continue to invite the youth <br /> commissioners to future events, as well. <br /> COMMISSIONER COMMENTS <br /> MINUTES: Youth Commissioner Luis thanked the Parks and Rec Department and <br /> Community Engagement team for making the community better, especially for the <br /> youth and seniors. <br /> Youth Commissioner Rodriguez thanked for everyone for presenting today, and he was <br /> very happy to see the engagement at the Santa Ana Zoo for the grand opening of <br /> Rivers Edge. <br /> Vice Chairperson Benitez thanked everyone for coming out, and was happy to see the <br /> girls' volleyball program. <br /> Chairperson Malfavon thanked everyone for attending the meeting tonight. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> The next regular meeting of Monday, February 16t" for the Youth Commission has been <br /> cancelled due to Presidents Day Holiday, and a special meeting of the Youth <br /> Commission has been scheduled for Monday, February 23rd, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the <br /> City Hall Ross Annex Room 1600, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701. <br /> Youth Commission 4 1/26/2026 <br />
