(2) Attorneys' fees and costs. <br /> Section 8-3704. Retaliatory action prohibited. <br /> No Drug Retail Establishment or Food Retail Establishment shall terminate, reduce <br /> in compensation, or otherwise discriminate against any Employee for seeking to enforce <br /> their rights under this Chapter by any lawful means, for participating in proceedings <br /> related to this Chapter, for opposing any practice proscribed by this Chapter, or for <br /> otherwise asserting rights under this Chapter. <br /> Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase or portion of <br /> this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of <br /> any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the <br /> remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br /> declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each section, subsection, <br /> sentence, clause or phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more <br /> section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase or portions be declared invalid or <br /> unconstitutional. <br /> Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after its <br /> adoption. <br /> Section 4 .
