S.A. 12‐022 <br />Investigator:     K Degraffenreid  Approved By:   <br />Date of Report:  October 10, 2012 Date:  10/11/12 <br />Page 1 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE <br />BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION <br /> <br />SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT <br />  <br />CASE NAME: ALMANZA, MARCELINO VALENCIA <br />CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING  ( NON‐ FATAL) <br />TYPE: INITIAL RESPONSE‐ CANVASS INTERVIEWS <br />AGENCY:   SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />On Monday, September 10, 2012, at approximately 0110 Hours, I was contacted  by <br />Orange County District Attorney (OCDA) Supervising Investigator RON SEMAN regarding a Santa <br />Ana  Police Department (SAPD) officer involved shooting, which occurred at 3005 South Bristol <br />Street in the city of Santa Ana.  Investigator SEMAN requested  I respond and assist in the <br />investigation. <br />At approximately 0214 hours, I arrived and met with investigators from the Orange <br />County District Attorney’s Office, the Santa  Ana Police Department and Orange County Crime <br />Lab personnel. <br />At approximately 0255 hours, SAPD Sergeant MATTHEW SORENSON conducted a <br />briefing of the known circumstances surrounding the incident for personnel involved  in the <br />investigation. Supervising Investigator SEMAN directed me to team with SAPD Detective DAN <br />AGUILAR to conduct canvass interviews of potential witnesses that live in the immediate area <br />of the incident. <br />Just north of 3005 South Bristol Street is a multi unit hotel called  , located at <br /> . This hotel rents rooms to patrons for extended  periods of time. <br />Detective AGUILAR and  I conducted audio digital recorded interviews of the individuals who
