Use caution when opening attachments or links. <br />Dear Mayor and City Council, <br />I am writing in strong support of Agenda Items #10 and #29. <br />The development of a Public Art & Preservation Policy is a critical step toward ensuring that Santa Ana’s cultural assets <br />are protected, maintained, and accessible to the community. Public art reflects our histories, identities, and collective <br />memory. <br />I also strongly support the identification and historic designation of artworks by Sergio O. Cadiz Moctezuma and Emigdio <br />Vasquez. These works are foundational to Santa Ana’s cultural landscape and deserve formal recognition and protection. <br />I encourage the City to build on this momentum by establishing a Public Art Trust Fund with a minimum starting <br />allocation of $50,000 to support long-term conservation, maintenance, and equitable investment in public art.
