The body weighs
200 pounds, measures 72 inches in height, and appears well built and well
nourished.
External examination reveals the body is without rigor. Livor mortis is fixed and
present over the back. Tattoos are seen over the upper middle back, the dorsal
surfaces and inner surfaces of both arms, the upper chest, the middle abdominal
area, and the lateral and anterior aspect of the neck. There are additional tattoos
below both eyes and above the left eyebrow. The tattoos also extend toward the
dorsal surfaces of both hands.
Old scars are noted above the right knee as well as at the level of the right knee
which range in size between 1 to 2 inches. There is also a 1/2-inch linear
horizontal scar of the nape of the neck. Old, ill-defined scars are also noted of the
bilateral posterior hips. There is a 1/4-inch scar of the left shin. Otherwise there is
otherwise no evidence of any additional scars on the bo dy, nor is there any
evidence of any fresh trauma like contusions, lacerations, or abrasions of the skin.
Middle sternal abrasions are noted which are fresh appearing and are most likely
related to resuscitative efforts. In addition, there is a very weak puncture site of the
left peripheral second phalanx which is most likely related to therapeutic
intervention as well.
In addition, there are changes of acne vulgaris of the back as well.
The head is normocephalic and covered by brown curly short hair without balding.
It is partially braided on the side and in the back. Examination of the eyes reveals
irides that appear to be brown in color and sclerae that are congested. There are
no petechial hemorrhages of the conjunctivae of the lids or the sclerae. The
earlobes show one piercing on each side. The oronasal passages are
unobstructed. The teeth are the decedent’s own and in relatively good condition
with partially crooked teeth and also partially missing upper teeth. The neck
appears supple and unremarkable. The face shows a mustache and a beard.
