GONZALEZ, Jessica <br />ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF-CORONER <br />AUTOPSY REPORT <br />13-02615-BB <br />Page 11 <br />dilated or thickened. The bladder contains 5 ml of yellow urine. The bladder <br />mucosa is tan-pink and glistening. The bladder wall does not appear <br />hypertrophied or thickened. <br />The bilateral fallopian tubes, ovaries, and the uterus are grossly unremarkable. <br />Cut sections of the uterus reveal unremarkable myometrium and endometrium. <br />NECK: The tongue, strap muscles, and pharyngeal constrictors are grossly <br />unremarkable and free of hemorrhage. The hyoid bone and other bony structures <br />of the neck are free of palpable fractures. The airway contains an endotracheal <br />tube and a thin film of pink mucoid fluid. The mucosal surfaces are tan-pink and <br />glistening. <br />MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM: The musculoskeletal system is well-developed. <br />The ribs are not palpably brittle. The skeletal muscle is dark-red and firm. <br />There is a gunshot defect of the lateral right 4th intercostal space. There is <br />another gunshot defect of the posterolateral right 4th rib (with an associated <br />internal beveling). There is a gunshot defect of the lateral 6th intercostal space <br />and ]11'1 rib (with an associated fracture and internal beveling). There are gunshot <br />defects of lateral right T12 bony spinal column, and lateral left L 1 bony spinal <br />column. There is a fracture identified of the right ulna on an x-ray of the right <br />forearm. <br />HEAD: Reflection of the scalp does not reveal subgaleal hemorrhages. The <br />calvarium is intact and normally configured. There are no epidural hemorrhages, <br />subdural hemorrhages, or basilar skull fractures. <br />CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM: The unfixed brain weighs 1220 grams. The <br />leptomeninges are thin, transparent, smooth, and glistening. There are no acute <br />subarachnoid hemorrhages, exudates, or cortical contusions identified. There is <br />no evidence of herniation identified. The arteries at the base of the brain are <br />intact and free of significant atherosclerotic changes or aneurysms. <br />6/27/2013 bl (13547) Et~hologist
