LAUNI advised his coworkers by telephone of <br />a possible identification. <br />At 1100 hours, Orange County Crime Lab, Forensic Specialist, Laura-Beth Camacho, <br />arrived to photograph the scene under the assigned forensic records # 13-48764. CAMACHO <br />took thirty-nine photographs of the scene and the body during the examination. <br />At 1126 hours, Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) Senior Deputy Coroner <br />Investigator, BROOKE BEASLEY, arrived to conduct a preliminary examination of GONZALEZ and <br />took photographs under Coroner Case # 13-02615-BB. <br />At 1131 hours, SAPD Detective JIM GARCIA #2409 arrived at the Douglas Hospital’s <br />Emergency Room. <br />At 1134 hours, BEASLEY, CAMACHO, MONTIEL, LAUNI, GARCIA and I entered the room. <br />GONZALEZ was on a hospital gurney that had been placed in the center of DH12, Bed 16’s room, <br />covered with linens. The gurney was placed in the room in a north/south direction. Once BEASLEY <br />had removed all of the linens, I observed GONZALEZ’s head on the north end of the gurney and her <br />feet on the south end of the gurney, near the entrance to the room. <br />The following items were observed on GONZALEZ’ body: <br />• (1) Electro Cardiogram pad affixed to left shoulder <br />• (3) Electro Cardiogram pads affixed to abdomen in a triangle pattern <br />• (1) Interosseus line inserted into the left shin <br />• (1) Endotracheal tube inserted into Gonzalez’ mouth and tied off with a clamp <br />• (1) Pulse oximeter on left forefinger <br />• (1) Chest tube containing blood inserted into the right side of GONZALEZ’ rib cage, tied <br />off with a clamp. <br />I observed a large scar that appeared to have been the result of a burn on GONZALEZ’s <br />right arm. There were multiple circular scars and small circular bruises on both of GONZALEZ’
