The officers searched the <br />immediate area for subjects, and secured the scene. GONZALEZ never made any statements <br />during the incident. <br /> SAPD Officer AYALA and SAPD Officer ESQUIVEL gave CRAFT a joint “public safety” <br />statement, which included the following information: <br />• No outstanding suspects <br />• The officers fired a total of 10 to 12 shots combined <br />• AYALA fired into a garage in a westbound direction <br />• ESQUIVEL fired in a northbound direction <br />At approximately 0815 hours, Orange County Fire Authority Engine 73 arrived on scene <br />and provided medical treatment to GONZALEZ. <br />At an unknown time, Care Ambulance #299 arrived on scene. Care Ambulance #299 <br />transported GONZALEZ to University California, Irvine-Medical Center, located at 101 The City <br />Drive South, Orange, CA 92868. SAPD Officer JUAN MONTIEL went with the ambulance to the <br />hospital. <br />
